Description

This stunning pair of earrings is called ÓÓ. It means the path, which is represented by the diamonds on the center. ÓÓ represents the path that we all walk in life, from the moment we are born until we depart. From the moment we open our eyes, we never stop going forward, walking and evolving.

The Emberā-Chamí are a very spiritual people, they believe that everything and everyone has a soul, as a result their pieces are highly symbolical. The patterns always carry a specific meaning, they are an open window into the Emberā-Chamí, history, culture and traditions.

The colors have specific meanings to the Emberá-Chamí. White, chïtör, symbolises peace, light and purity. Black, chipār, symbolizes wisdom and protection. Gold, chikuārā, represents the sun, abundance and happiness. Red, chipur, represents the Emberā-Chamí race.
