Description

This piece represents two symbols of high significance to the Emberā-Chamí tribe.

Fursirú, a type of flute used exclusively by the Jaibaná, the spiritual leader of the tribe, during healings and other important ceremonies. It is meant to bring protection and good energy to the Emberā-Chamí. On the bracelet, Fursirú is represented by the big black diagonal lines.

Ambuará means all united. Ambuará represents the unity of the Emberā-Chamí as a people and the unity of indigenous communities in general. Represented on the bracelet by the diamonds.

The colors have specific meanings to the Emberā-Chamí people. Chïtör, white or silver, symbolize peace, light and purity. Black, chipār, symbolizes wisdom and protection. Yellow or gold, chikuārā, symbolize the sun, gold, abundance and happiness.
