Description

Fursirü is a type of flute used exclusively by the Jaibaná, the spiritual leader of the tribe, during healings and other important ceremonies. It is meant to bring protection and good energy to the Emberā-Chamí people.

The colors have specific meanings to the Emberá-Chamí. Chïtör, white/silver, symbolises peace, light and purity. Red, chipür, symbolises race and the bloodlines.
