Knowledge Transmission

A Word Ceremony is a nocturnal gathering for the transmission of ancestral knowledge.

Still today, contemporary indigenous peoples, honor both their male and female elders. Both perceived as figures of wisdom, ancestral knowledge, and responsible for cultural and societal preservation.

Ceremonies and rituals are fundamental to preserve knowledge, collective memories and build identity. Knowledge transmission is usually done at night, around fire.
