Ancestral Wisdom Sowing and the Lunar Calendar

Pastos people preparing to sow the land.

To cultivate their land, indigenous communities follow the weather conditions exclusive to each community. For example, the Los Pastos people use the lunar calendar for knowing when, how and what to plant. Furthermore, ancient knowledge still teaches how to prepare the land for sowing and what organic remedies can be used to treat plant diseases.
