Colteseda

Asociación Colteseda is an Afro-Colombian association started in 1998 gathering 30 artisans and their families. Lead by Amparo Navarro, Colteseda is one of the few artisanal associations that has farms and produces silk in Colombia. Colteseda was born as a peace-through-craft initiative, that provides the artisans and their families with a fair and decent livelihood. Colteseda owns a 16000m² area, out of which 5000m² are protected native forest.
